Document Description
The Project will repair of two existing boat launching facilities. Existing floating dock will be removed and replaced with new articulating boarding floats. Each section of the boarding float is 20' x 8'. The total length of the floating dock will be 60'-6". The dock surface will be aluminum and the floats will be polystyrene foam encased in high density polyethylene or pressure treated lumber. One pre-cast concrete piles approximately 1'2" square will be driven into the substrate approximately 17' to anchor each 20' section of the floating dock. Physical condition of each site will be returned to pre-project condition after construction of the new facility. Existing park areas will also be repaired as part of this Project. The Project will construct one new boat launching facility with a 47' x 48' concrete ramp and an articulating boarding dock. The new facility concrete ramp will be either poured in place while the area is dry or precast and placed in the lake as a solid piece without dewatering. Rock slope protection (facing rock) will be placed along the side and bottom of the ramp. An associated parking area will also be constructed as part of this project.
