Document Description
Reconstruct approximately 3040 feet of the Skyline to the Sea/Hihn Hammon Connector trail at Big Basin Redwoods State Park to comply with Americans with Disabilities Act standards. Replace two puncheons (one 40' length and one 10' length) to meet accessibility requirements. Construct a 50' pedestrian bridge across Opal Creek, approximately 30 feet upstream from an existing historic log footbridge. The existing log footbridge will be decommissioned, but retained in place. Project will improve visitor access, protect public safety, protect park cultural and natural resources, and support continued use and maintenance.
