Light industrial, warehouse, maritime, assembly and entertainment, institutional, office and parking uses. M-2 (Light Industrial) zoning district, a 40-X height and bulk district, the Northern Waterfront Special Use District No. 1, and the Port of San Francisco's Waterfront Land use Plan.
Document Description
The project sponsors propose to demolish the Pier 27 shed and annex as well as a later addition to the Beltline Railroad Office Building, and to adaptively reuse the Piers 29, 29 1/2 and 31 bulkhead/shed buildings. The project sponsors would apply to place the adapted existing structures on the National Register of Historic Places, and all such buildings would be rehabilitated to comply with the U.S. Secretary of the Interior's Standards for Rehabilitation of Historic Structures. New construction would include a new YMCA facility of 110,000 gross square feet, a new 105,000 square-foot Northeast Wharf plaza, an addition at the Pier 29 shed, several floating docks for public access or recreational use, and at least four kiosks. The proposed project would result in an estimated 1,126,000 square feet of a variety of uses.
