Document Description
The Apex Ranch Conjunctive Use Project is proposed by the Kings County Water District (KCWD), to develop a groundwater storage facility to provide additional water supply to KCWD by capturing and storing surface water that would otherwise be lost from KCWD. The Apex Ranch (Ranch) is a 400-acre plum, nectarine, peach and walnut ranch located between the Peoples Ditch and the Old River (a former Kings River channel) in the northeast corner of Kings County. New facilities are expected to include modification of the Peoples Ditch Diversion, installation of a new pipeline, several new wells, and intentional recharge within the boundaries of the Old River.
