Document Description
The SMART project will provide rail service along 70 miles of the former Northwestern Pacific Railroad alignment. The project will serve 14 stations from Cloverdale in Sonoma County to Larkspur in Marin County. An operations and maintenance facility (OMF) is required to service the SMART project. The Draft and Final EIRs (2005 and 2006) for the SMART project evaluated two alternative OMF sites. This SMND evaluates a new OMF site, which would be located on a primary site on Airport Blvd. Limited use of a secondary site would occur on Fulton Road. Both sites are north of the City of Santa Rosa in Sonoma County.
