The Agency proposes to form a new redevelopment project area. The boundary for the Freeway 99 - Golden State Boulevard Corridor Redevelopment Project Area is primarily focused on properties designated as Commercial or Industrial in the City's General Plan and applicable Community Plans along the Freeway 99 - Golden State Boulevard Corridor generally between the San Joaquin River on the north and Belmont Avenue on the south. Property planned for residential development is also included in the Project Area in the Fruit/Ashlan area and south of the Tower District. Residential redevelopment would focus on rehabilitation and the provision of infrastructure.
