Document Description
The Southwest Well Field Infiltration Pilot Study Project will involve the construction and installation of test facilities on District-owned property, including two new 5" piezometers, flow meter, level sensor, monitoring sensors for piezometers, site piping and appurtenances, evapotranspiration and meteorological testing apparatus, and miscellaneous improvements to two existing onsite percolation basins of approximately two acres each, followed by performance of the inflitration test. The infiltration test will involve discharge of a measured quantity of potable water from the District's local water system into the existing infiltration basins for a period of approximately one year. Flow into the basins, depth of water in the basins, ground water elevations, ground water quality, evapotranspiration and meteorological parameters will be measured and recorded throughout the test.
