Document Description
The proposed project include two components: (1) the installation and operation of a metal shredding operation as an expansion of a scrap metal recycling facility; and (2) an increase in the volume of transloading (transfer of goods between rail car and truck for distribution) on the project site. Project applicant, Pacific Rail Industries, proposed to expand their existing project site in the City of Colton, and relocate an existing metal shredding facility from Carson to the project site in Colton by amendment of their conditional use permit. In addition, the applicant proposed to increase the volume of materials being transloaded on the project site.
