Document Description
The Operator proposes to alter the streambed to perform routine maintenance activities immediately in front of the Monterey Street storm drain inlet structure in South Laguna Beach, Orange County. This will involve cleaning and clearing the debris rack and trash bollards, as well as removing soil and debris from an approximately 6,200 square foot area in front of the inlet structure to a depth not to exceed five feet. Excavation activities will be completed via the use of a clam-shell excavator. The area of the streambed which will be impacted by this maintenance activity is currently unvegetated. The operator shall not perform any activity within the project site from March 15 to July 15 to avoid impacts to nesting birds.
