Document Description
This project involves the construction of an approximate 4-foot by 184-foot long finger pier on six, existing concrete and steel pilings that once supported a wharf constructed by the U.S Navy. The pier and end platform total 840 square feet. A ramp leading to the pier will be attached to the existing concrete seawall. The construction of this pier will facilitate the installation and regular maintenance of meterological and hydological instruments necessary for the station's operation. The equipment and associated cables relaying data to an onshore computer will be securely attached to the pilings and new platform. No new construction or pile driving will occur in the water.
