Document Description
Issuance of a Streambed Alteration Agreement Number R3-2002-0881 pursuant to Fish and Game Code Section 1601 for the following project. The proposed project is for the routine maintenance of the Del Rey Canyon Channel at the intersection of Highway 68 and 218, City of Monerey, in Monterey County. The channel flows out of a culvert and into another colvert with approximately 60 feet of open channel. The 60 feet of open channel supports cattail and some willow growth and this vegetation is clogging the channel and may result in back-flooding at the Highway 68 culvert inlet. The proposed project will remove the vegetation from the channel using hand tools and disposing of the material off site. No mechanical equipment shall be used in the channel. Caltrans is requesting a 5-year Agreement for this maintenance work.
