Document Description
Project consists of the restoration of native costal sage scrub vegetation in a previously heavily disturbed and compacted area dominated by exotic vegetation within an historic district. Project requires boring holes between 1 to 3 feet deep using a 6" hand held auger and a 12" bobcat auger to allow for adequate root penetration for native vegetation. An archaeologist will monitor all excavation and adjust revegetation plan as necessary. Benefits include provision of habitat, stabilizationof soil, restoration the coastal sage scrub community, and visual enhancement.
