Document Description
The project involves minor repairs to a portion of the upstream face of the existing Silver Lake Dam structure. Activities will include removal of the existing shotcrete surface, placement of a lining material for containment, placement of crushed rock over the lining, and finishing the surface with a new reinforced shotcrete surface. At the toe of the sloped surface along existing boulders , a footing will be constructed to support the new materials. The shotcrete will also be sealed along the existing rock buttress of the dam. The work area is surround by existing rock or concrete dam structure. The El Dorado Irrigation District will be prepare and submit a California Department of Fish and Game - Lake Alteration Notification, and California Division of Safety of Dams - Degin Application. Surplus and demolition materials will be removed from the site in accordance with local, state and federal laws.
