Document Description
UCSB proposes to relocate the Dance Studio adjacent to the UCSB Event Center on the Main Campus. The Dance Studio is a temporary building that requires relocation due to pending construction of the Intercollegiate Athletics Building at its current location. The Dance Studio encompasses 2,050 assignable square feet (ASF) or 2,698 gross square feet (GSF). Approximately 3,950 square feet (.09 acres) of area would be disturbed and one eucalyptus tree removed adjacent to the Event Center. This project tiers off UCSB's Long Ranch Development Plan EIR SCH# 87022516 for visual qulaity and land use impacts due to cumulative loss of open space. The UC Regents adopted a statement of overriding considerations for this impact.
