Document Description
The project is the replacement of deteriorated carport structures with new materials. The carport extends over the creek below. Two new 24-inch diameter, concrete pier footings will replace the old footings located in the creek bed. There will be 34 square feet of disturbance in the creek bed from this replacement. The footings will be placed at a soil depth of approximately 12 feet. Approximately 2.8 square yards of soil will be removed to place the footings. No rip rap will be placed in teh creek. There will be no heavy equipment used in the creek. Soil and broken concrete will be removed by hand. A hand (portable) drill rig unit will be used to place new concrete poured piles. The vegetation around the old piers and garage is English ivy and Himalaya blackberry shrubs. Below the garage, the stream bank is devoid of vegetation. Issuance of a Streambed Alteration Agreement Number R3-2002-0616 pursuant to Fish and Game Code Section 1603.
