The Environmental Impact Report has been prepared in connection with the proposed adoption, and implementation of a Redevelopment Plan, as defined by California Community Redevelopment Law, for the purposes of eliminating blight and revitalizing the Project Area. The Contra Costa Redevelopment Agency is proposing to (1) create the Montalvin Manor Redevelopment Project Area, and (2) adopt a Redevelopment Plan for the Project Area; and (3) an amendment to the County General plan to promote mixed use development on vacant parcels within the Project Area.
The Project Area includes multiple parcels in the unincorporated area of Montalvin Manor (western Contra Costa County) approximately one-half mile south of the City of Pinole, bounded by Lettia Road on the north, Murphy Road on the east, San Pablo Avenue on the south and Christine Drive and Kay Road on the east.
