The City of Modesto plans to replace the existing Ninth Street Bridge with a seismically safe bridge. The bridge will have independent utility and is not associated with any future planning programs that require increased bridge capacity or service. The new bridge will have the same vehicular lane characteristics bridge. Replacement is needed to address seismic safety concerns: capacity enhancements are not proposed
