Document Description
The project is the installation of a NEG Milcon NM54 model, 950 kilowatt slip wind energy turbine, on a single hub, atop approximately 70-meter (230 feet) tall tower. The turbine will be located near the Palmdale Water District's existing water treatment plant in Palmdale. The District estimates that the turbine will operate at full capacity about 22% of the time, providing up to 1.8 million kWh of power per year. The wind turbine will be used to generate electricity to power the District's water treatment plant and booster facility.
