Document Description
The proposed project consists of the construction of a 3,660 square foot building for the sale of agricultural produce and a 4,960 square foot farm equipment storage building. The project includes 26 new parking spaces and approximately 900 cubic yards of grading. The project site is a vacant 1.49 acre portion of a 10-acre parcel located fronting on and westerly of Highway 68 north of Hitchcock Road, just outside the City of Salinas. Existing uses of the 10-acre site include: a 9,600 square foot agriculture-related commercial building (Feed Trough Supply Store), approximately 3,700 square feet of other agriculture-related uses/structures and 29 parking spaces which occupy approximately 1.12-acre of the property; agricultural crops occupy the remaining 7.4 acres. The proposed project site is utilized seasonally for the sale of pumpkins and Christmas trees.
