Document Description
A Conditional Use Permit to allow the establishment of a children's camp to provide educational and recreational opportunities for children ages 7 through 17. Project improvements include enhancement of wetlands and construction of a bunk house, administration building/administrator's residence, kitchen facilities, and maintenance facilities (Section 19.42.030.C) in an RF FPS (Recreation-Forestry Floodplain Secondary Combining) District. A recreational lake is also proposed (Sections 19.42.030.C and 19.50.030) in the RF FPS and FPP (Floodplain Primary) Districts. Water supply will be by on-site well, and sewage disposal will be by septic tank. Also proposed is the restoration and enhancement of on -site riparian habitat and development of an on-site fishery. Thirty-five children and seven employees (administrator, cook, and five counselors) will be on site per session during late spring and summer. Use of the facilities will be offered the remainder of the year to other youth groups and public recreation districts. Also proposed is the summary vacation of a portion of old Alfred Harrell Highway.
