Document Description
The project consists of sediment removal from the channels of East and West Creeks, in the Town of Tiburon, Marin County. East and West Creeks are designated flood control channels located in an urbanized setting. Sediment has built up in these channels, increasing the flood potential for residential and commercial properties near the creeks. Approximately 302 cubic yards of sediment will be removed from West Creek between State Route 131 and Cecelia Way, and 10 yards of sediment will be removed from East Creek at one location, 10 feet south of Cecilia Way. The project will be conducted during the summer months when the creek flow is very low, or non-existent. Issuance of Streambed Alteration Agreement Number R3-2002-0614 pursuant to Fish and Game Code Section 1601.
