Document Description
The California Department of Military proposes to lease approximately 4,023 square feet (net) of existing office space and 11,127 square feet (net) of an existing warehouse located in Bakersfield, CA. Three full time occupants will utilize existing space and approximately 90 traditional Guardsmembers will utilize warehouse space, which is being converted by the Lessor to appropriate assembly area. Included in the existing officespace is a classroom to facilitate small group classes during unit (monthly) training assemblies and/or be utilized to present staff briefings(s) at other times druing the month. Also, included in the existing office space utilization is a supply room which will contain individual issue items (clothing & equipment) and small items of unit equipment. The firm term of this lease will be November 1, 2002 through October 2005 at a monthly rate of $7,600. A soft term of November 1, 2005 through October 2008 is provided in the lease at $8,445 per month. A recruiter may work out of this location. Exclusive parking is provided for eighteen military vehicles none larger than a "Blazer" standard parking spaces. No arms, ammunition nor explosives (AA&E) will be stored at this site. The site is also near public transportation.
