Document Description
The Department of General Services proposes to retrofit this state facility in order to conserve energy and reduce expenses. The proposed project will recommission existing outside air, return air, and zone dampers; furnish and install system controls to monitor and control the existing equipment; replace the existing motors with high efficiency motors for two-speed and premium high efficiency for single-speed; retrofit existing T-12 lamps and magnetic ballast with new energy efficient T-8 lamps and electronic ballast; retrofit existing incandescent lamps with new energy efficient compact fluorescent lamps; install motion sensors where applicable; install a water conservation system that will measure evapo-transpiration and then adjust the frequency of watering and include sensors which will measure rainfall in inches and automatically turns systems off when an adequate level of rain for plant use has accummulated.
