Document Description
Caltrans proposes to dispose of excess State Land, which was acquired by the State on March 24, 2000 for Stage 1 of the East Sonora Bypass Project. A private party (Craig and Patricia Dambacher) has been granted first rights of refusal for this parcel, via a Judgement in Condemnation issued by Judge William Polley on August 27, 2001. The judgement also stipulates that an independent appraiser must appraise the property to determine fair market value. The Dambachers must exercise their option to buy within 30 days from notification by Caltrans attorney that the parcel is declared excess. If they do not exercise their right to purchase by the deadline, or if they decline to buy the parcel, it will be sold at public auction.
