Hayfield Dry Lake Salt Cedar Removal

The Metropolitan Water District of Southern California is proposing the removal of invasive salt cedar (Tamarix ramosissima) within an approximately 800-acre portion of Hayfield Dry Lake. The area will be disced to remove invasive salt cedar within the lake.
The proposed project consists of the maintenance of existing landscaping, native growth, and water supply reservoirs. The proposed project also entails minor alterations in the condition of land that do not involve the removal of mature, scenic trees.
