Document Description
The operator proposes to alter the streambed to perform geotechnical investigations within Arroyo Trabuco Creek for future water transmission mains. All work will take place south of the Oso Parkway Bridge within the County of Orange's O'Neill Park. To perform the needed survey activity, four or five soil test pits or vertical drill holes will be made directly along the proposed 450-foot long tunnel alignment. Vertical boring holes will temporarily impact approximately 40 square feet each. If required, one or two test pits may be excavated instead of borings and shall be performed within a maximum 40-foot diameter work area each. Access to the site will be from an existing dirt road crossing the streambed. All impacts will be temporary, and all disturbed areas will be returned to pre-existing conditions.
