Document Description
In an effort to assist the City of Fremont in meeting its regional housing needs allocation, the City's Housing Element calls for the development of an Inclusionary Housing Program. Approximately 25% of California cities have adopted such programs, which typically require affordable housing be created in conjunction with market rate residential development. The inclusionary Housing Ordinance Housing Program for the City of Fremont proposes that all residential development consisting of 5 or more units be required to assist in the development of quality affordable housing to help meet the housing needs of very low, low and moderate income households in Fremont.
