Document Description
The UC Davis Medical Center proposes to construct an approximately 15,000-gross-square foot building at the Medical Center in Sacramento, California. The project site is on the east side of 49th Street, south of the existing Ronald McDonald House and north of the M.I.N.D Institute currently under construction. The proposed Child Development Center would provide space for up to 150 children ranging in age from infants to five years old. The enrolled childcare facility would be available for UCMC employees and a limited group of children with neurodevelopmental disorder from the M.I.N.D. Institute. The facility would be developed consistent with the National Association for the Education of Youg Children (NAEYC) standards. The single-story building would be residential in scale and would include two outdoor fenced play areas. Limited short-term parking would be provided for dropping off and picking up children. Operation of the proposed childcare facility would include up to 24 teachers and 4 staff who would be near to the Medical Center population.
