Document Description
The applicants request approval for a Use Permit to construct and operate an unstaffed wireless communications site with facilities to include a 120-foot high monopole antenna support structure supporting three sectors of flush-mounted, non-reflective panel antennas. The project also includes construction of an equipment shelter (10 feet by 16 feet). All the facilities would be within a 1,500 square foot lease area (50' by 30') on the site. The proposed personal communications system (PCS) uses digital technology. The project included grading to improve the existing access road, and also trenching for installation of underground electrical power and telecommunications lines within the existing roadbed from Simpson Road (a private road) to the site, a distance of approximately 1.4 miles. The existing access road contains a stream-crossing. No microwave antennas would be installed at the site and no propane tanks or diesel-powered generators are proposed. Only one low-wattage, manually controlled light would be allowed on each equipment shelter. The facility would not be continuously lighted.
