Document Description
San Diego County has attained the federal one-hour ambient air quality standard for ground-level ozone. Accordingly, the San Diego County Air Pollution Control District proposes to request redesignation from "nonattainment" to "attainment" for this ozone standard, and has developed the requisite documentation for submittal to the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency through the California Air Resources Board. A key component of the Redesignation Request is a Maintenance Plan demonstrating that the ozone standard will be maintained through at least ten years after redesignation, as required by federal law.
