Amend the Land Use, Open Space, and Conservation Element of the Kern County General Plan from Map Codes 5.3 (Maximum 10 Units/Net Acre) and 6.2 (General Commercial) to Map Code 7.1 (Light Industrial) or a more restrictive map code designation and change in the zone classification from CH (Highway Commercial) and R-1 (Low-density Residential) to M-1 PD (Light Industrial Precise Development) or a more restrictive district. The site is proposed to be used for the construction of two 5,000 square foot warehouses with spaces to be leased to local businesses.
