Document Description
The Ventura County Watershed Protection District (District) protects life, property, watersheds, and public infrastructure from the dangers and damages associated with flood and storm waters. This includes the operation and maintenance of various flood control channel and facilities located throughout Ventura County. The District has prepared a Draft Program Environmental Impact Report for the Environmental Protection Measures for the Ongoing Routine Operation and Maintenance Program. The District proposes to incorporate additional feasible best management practices (BMPs) into the current maintenance program to improve environmental protection during maintenance activities and to obtain long-term permits and approvals from various state and federal regulatory agencies.
