The West Kern Water District (WKWD) desires to acquire, and Berrenda Mesa Water District (BMWD) desires to sell and permanently transfer to WKWD, a portion of the BMWD State Water Project water entitlement. WKWD will purchase 6,500 acre feet of BMWD's contractural entitlement to the delivery of water from the State Water Project, including BMWD's appurtenant rights to delivery capacity in State Water Project facilities within the California Aqueduct to Reach 10A.
