Document Description
Project entails an update to the LA Mission College Master Plan (2018 Update or Project). The Master Plan provides for long-range planning of campus facilities. A Facilities Master Plan was adopted for LA Mission College in 2007. The Facilities Master Plan was subsequently revised in 2009 and again in 2014. Analysis under CEQA was completed for each of these iterations. The 2018 Update completes a new Student Services building with 3-levels and 64,000 sf, representing an increase of 9,000 sf compared to the version of the same building approved in the 2009 Facilities Master Plan. On the basis of the entire record before it, LACCD found that no subsequent or supplemental EIR was required under Public Resources Code, section 21166 and State CEQA Guidelines, section 15162. However, because the project would require some minor changes to the previous environmental documentation to make them relevant for the project, an Addendum was prepared pursuant to State CEQA Guidelines section 15164. The Addendum, together with the prior environmental documents, fully and completely accounts for all environmental impacts of the Project, which would either be less than significant or reduced to less than significant levels with implementation of mitigation already required under the prior environmental documents.
