Document Description
A precise Development Plan for the development of a travel center, in an M-2 PD (Medium Industrial, Precise Development Combining) District. The facility will be designed to provide services to the traveling public, including the interstate trucking industry. The property is designated Service Industrial by the Metropolitan Bakersfield 2010 Plan and is zoned M-2PD. The facility will provide a truck fueling station, a 6914-sf. building which will contain 4560-sf. travel center and a 2344-sf. fast food restaurant . The travel center will offer a convenience store, shower area, lounge and small Laundromat. A 115-foot-tall pole sign will be located near the southwest corner of the property. Forty-five full-time and part-time employees will work at the site. Four 20, 000-gallon underground fuel tanks will be constructed. Site access will be from one drive way along Seventh Standard Road and two dirveways along Industry Parkway Drive. The propsed method of sewage disposal is the North of the River Sanitary District.
