FONSI: Notice of Availability The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) proposes to widen State Route 156 from The Alameda in San Juan Bautista to 0.2 mile east of Fourth Street (Business Route 156) in San Benito County. Three Build alternatives and one No-Build Alternative are under consideration including: - Alternative 2: a four lane expressway with north and south frontage roads - Alternative 4A: a four lane conventional highway/ expressway; - Alternative 6: a four lane expressway with northern frontage road.
