Unocal proposes abandoning its existing Cojo Marine Terminal Facility, Point Conception Well Site, Government Point Production Facility, and associated interconnecting pipeline corridors. Unocal will disconnect, clean and remove all above ground and exposed pipelines, existing structures, storage tanks, loading pumps, electrical panels, and various motors, roadbeds, contaminated materials, and foundations. The project will impact the Gaviota tarplant (Deinandra increscens ssp. villosa), a State endangered species, which will be mitigated off-site.
