Document Description
The City of La Mesa is seeking State of California Proposition 12 funding to renovate an existing baseball field that was originally constructed in 1952 at Helix High School. The proposed project is to lengthen the baseball field and provide new irrigation systems, replace backstops, bleachers and baselines. Minor grading is proposed, and a future phase will include lights for the field. The proposed project will allow for Pony League play and adult softball usage. Helix School is located at 7323 University Avenue, on the west side of Lowell Street in La Mesa. The site is designated for Public High School use in the La Mesa General Plan and is zoned R1 (Urban Residential).
