Two project options have been identified for analysis in this EIR: the Maximum Landfill Footprint Project and the Reduced Landfill Footprint Project. The Maximum Landfill Footprint Project includes the development of Phase IV of the existing landfill, development of the 117-acre County-owned parcel west of Buena Vista Road as a separate landfill mound, and development of the 180-acre parcel located north of the existing landfill property as a separate landfill mound.
