The Kings County Board of Supervisors proposes to enter into an agreement with the Lost Hills Water District to transfer 16,000 acre feet of State Water Project entitlement from Lost Hills Water District to Kings County. The purpose of the transfer would be to facilitate the transfer of water from the jurisdiction of the Kern County Water Agency and the Lost Hills Water District under the term of the Monterey Agreement. As part of this transfer, the water's use classification would be changed from agricultural to municipal and industrial.
