Document Description
The proposed project consists of the construction of a new California Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) facility on a 3.39-acre site in the Ocan Veiw Hills Corporate Center (at approximatley 6600 Otay Mesa Road). The facility would include a 14,656-gross-square foot, one-story DMV facility building with adjacent two-lane cantilevered carport and separate gargage for two state vehicles. The new facility would be constructed of concrete, concrete masonry units (CMUs), and a steel frame. Finish materials would include plaster, aluminum storefront materials, glass, brick veneer, metal panels, and steel fascia. Roofing would be standing-seam metal on sloped surfaces and insulated single ply membrane on flat surfaces. The facility would include an interior/exterior intercom system, trash enclosure, 157-car parking lot, vehicle circulation system, and landscaping. New onsite storm drains would be constructed as part of the project to collect runoff on the site and to direct storm water runoff to Business Center Court.
