Document Description
The first phase will include sufficient improvements and right-of-way for a four-lane roadway (including a Class I Bikeway, curb and gutter), two 3-lane bridges to replace the existing 2-lane bridge crossing the Union Pacific railroad track west of 20th Street East, drainage improvements, revised traffic signals, and modifications to the at-grade crossing of the Metrolink railroad tracks west of Sierra Highway. As part of the first phase, Avenue S will be realigned in several locations. In additiion, the first phase will include sufficient improvements and right-of-way for improved approaches from 5th Street East, Sierra Highway, 10th Street East, and 20th Street East to Avenue S, including realignment of Sierra Highway and 20th Street East. The final phase will include sufficient improvements and right-of-way for a six-lane roadway, including additional improvements to traffic signaling, drainage, and the at-grade crossing of the Metrolink tracks.
