Document Description
The proposal is to remove minor amounts of vegetation (stems less than 3 inches diameter) from in front of or adjacent to existing Caltrans structures during the appropriate time of the year. Impacts to the surrounding environment shall be minimized by hand removal of vegetation where appropriate. Large equipment may work off the structure to remove obstructions from within the waterway. Sediment removal can occur within 25 linear feet both up and downstream of the structure and equipment shall not work from within flowing water. Caltrans shall implement Best Management Practices to insure water quality is maintained. All material removed from the waterway shall be disposed of off site or in an approved manner so it can not reenter the waterway.
