The proposed project consists of shoreline stabilization along the western edge of a north-south levee and road that is the eastern edge of Pond 1, located midway between Sonoma Creek and the Napa River just north of and adjacent to Highway 37 (Sears Point Road). Pond 1 is in Solano County just south of the Solano-Napa County line (the County line is near or at the northern border of Pond 1) and about 2.5 miles east of the Sonoma County line. Pond 1 is bounded on the north by South Slough and the Napa-Solano County line; on the east by the western border of the former Cullinan Ranch (now owned by the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service); on the south by Highway 37 (Sears Point Road); and on the west by a levee separating it from another CDFG-owned parcel--Pond 1-A.
