Document Description
Metropolitan proposes the addition of an 8 inch diameter discharge pipeline at the sump pump station and the installation of an isolation valve at the Robert A. Skinner Filtration Plant. The new discharge pipeline will carry wash water away from the existing sump pumps, which are used to press and separate solids remaining from Metropolitan's treatment processes, and return it to Metropolitan's water treatment system. The proposed isolation valve installation consists of installing an isolation valve to enable repairs to irrigation valves and fire protection system components without shutting down the chlorinators each time.
