Document Description
The operator proposes to repair the eroding west bank of Wildcat Creek behind the residence at 2889 Howard Street in Richmond, Contra Costa County, in order to protect the garage at the top of the bank. Starting from the Vale Road Bridge and proceeding downstream approximately 80 feet, the toe of the bank will be reestablished using two rows of a-jacks approximately 2 feet away from the low flow channel in a toe trench. Willow cuttings will be planted within and immediately behind the a-jacks at 3 feet on center. From the a-jacks to the top of the bank, approximately 12 feet, a 1:1 slope will be reestablished using perforated geoweb cells or equivalent product, filled with soil, seeded, and covered with erosion control matting. Issuance of a Streambed Alteration Agreement Number R3-2002-0221 pursuant to Fish and Game Code Section 1603.
