Document Description
The operator proposes to alter the streambed to repair a failed slope which was damaged during heavy rainstorms. In order to access the base of the slope to make repairs, a 20' x 238' access road and a 54' x 34' turn-around area must be constructed within riparian habitat at the base of the slope, which is located within Talbert Nature Preserve, Costa Mesa, Orange County. This area currently consists of predominately non-native vegetation, and will be planted with native riparian vegetation at the completion of construction activities. It is anticipated that Talbert Nature Preserve (County of Orange) staff will assume maintenance responsibilities once the replanting is completed.
