Document Description
Department of Energy proposes to create an administratively controlled area (ACA) on the DOE-owned 1.25 mile section of East Ave. between South Vasco and Greenville Roads. The ACA of East Ave. would provide DOE with the ability to restrict the roadway to the general public on either a temporary or permanent basis. Controlling access to East Ave. would require vehicle and pedestrian portals at both the Vasco Road and Greenville Road ends of East Ave. The proposal consists of construction of a new leased trailer or modular badging facility near the southeast corner of East Ave. and Vasco Road, a vehicle inspection station and portal kiosks, as well as other site improvements such as paving access and parking areas, installing storm water drains, curbs, gutters and sidewalks.
