Document Description
To expedite processing of applications for small wind energy systems in the LIA, LEA, DA, RRD, RRDWA, TP, AR, and RR zoning districts (Coastal and Inland), this ordinance amendment would allow wind turbine generators up to 80 feet in height on a parcel of five acres of more and up to 65 feet on a parcel less then five acres, with the issuance of a Zoning Permit with noticing to properties within 300 feet where such systems currently would require a Use Permit. The Ordinance amendment would also reduce setbacks on parcels greater than 10 acres in size if such reduction would allow reduced visibility of a tower.
