Document Description
The proposed project will widen the existing roadway and reconstruct the pavement section as necessary to accommodate a total of six traffic lanes, three lanes in each direction, with a fully landscaped, raised center median. Bicyclists will be accommodated with either Class II bike lanes on Elkhorn Boulevard or routed to the adjacent frontage road. Rubberized asphalt concrete will be used on this project. The preferred roadway geometrics include a twelve-foot wide median, two twelve-foot wide #1 vehicle lanes, two eleven-foot wide #2 and #3 lanes, and two five-foot wide bicycle lanes.
